Celebrity House: Jennifer Lopez

Interior designer Michelle Workman was appointed to decorate Jennifer Lopez's home in California. Workman had nearly completed a château-inspired house for Lopez when she had a change of heart—she didn't want to be locked into a classically French look. I have seen many houses like this one in Buenos Aires, not only in the countryside but in the suburbs as well. Interior Designer Kathy Smith

Interior designer Kathy Smith used autumn colors — brown, beige, and gold neutrals with splashes of coral — to give this home in Charlotte, North Carolina, depth and warmth. These colours flow throughout the house, creating an inviting mood. She also used a lot of luxurious fabrics such as silks, mohairs, and velvets — things that wear well but are also beautiful.<br /><br /><img id="fb_image" src="http://www.housebeautiful.com/cm/housebeautiful/images/1-sensual-living-dec0907-xlg.jpg" style="top: -5px; left: -6px; width: 500px; height: 391px;" /><br />The living room doubles as a family room, with a flat-screen TV over the fireplace and floors covered in natural Merida Bali, a woven jute that's softer and more child-friendly than sisal.
