Cottage on Nantucket

Today we are visiting a typical shingle style cottage on Nantucket. Full of light and colours, and details in every room which give it an overall nautical feeling.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.nehomemag.com/sites/default/files/images/7/article_portfolio/CI10%20Hutton%2001.jpg" style="width: 573px; height: 858px;" /><br />White painted Adirondack chairs in the wide front porch which was added to the house.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.nehomemag.com/sites/default/files/images/7/article_portfolio/CI10%20Hutton%2002.jpg" /><br />A schooner painting by William P. Stubbs gets prominent placement in the entry hall.<br /><br /><img height="778" src="http://www.nehomemag.com/sites/default/files/images/7/article_portfolio/CI10%20Hutton%2003.jpg" width="551" /><br />A whale carving that once hung on the outside of a ’Sconset house dominates the living room with its whitewashed walls.
